My dog absolutely loves Charlee Bears. Give her a couple at the same time as dinner, and dinner waits, she goes straight for the Charlee Bears. Unfortunately, the pet store I used to get them from stopped selling them. I’m so glad I found them on Amazon! I can’t wait to order some, my dog will be so happy! Plus, they’re the only treats I’ve seen that will fit into her TreatBall.

Charlee Bears are small and low calorie, so you can use them en masse for training. We use them both for standard training (sit, stay, drop it, leave it) and behavioral training (no bark). They’re not stinky or messy, so you can put them in your pocket, purse, or car without worry. We keep a small bag in the car for travel to reinforce when our puppy doesn’t bark at people walking by, one by the door to reinforce when she goes to the bathroom outside, and a bunch of treats in a treat bag for travel.
The one downside to these is that because they’re not as stinky, it can be harder to use them to get your dog’s attention if he or she is distracted, like at the dog park or if you have a bunch of visitors. Our trick to get around this is that we put some stinky treats in the treat bag with these, and they’ll take on some of the scent (We use Pro-Treat Beef Liver, Freeze Dried Dog Treats, 21 Ounce).
Our dog loves all flavors.

This is a great dog treat if you don’t want your dog to have too many calories. Hey, they get weight problems too! We have a Silky Terrier who had gained some weight due to his owners being to generous with the high calorie treats. My daughter reminded me of Charlee Bears, so I called our pet store and they said they did not have any. After that, I searched Amazon, like I always do and there they were : )
Oh, I mentioned low-calorie, but didn’t say how many. Charlee Bears only have 3 calories in each tiny treat. One thing all should know is a hint a vet gave me years ago: he said a dog doesn’t know he’s getting a tiny treat or a big one, all he knows is he is getting a treat. He said no one should give those huge treats to their pets, not even to large dogs because most dog food contains all a dog really needs and lastly, like most humans, many dogs do not get the daily exercise they should.

Both of my dogs love this! It’s small and doesn’t have alot of calories in case you need to watch the quantity you give. It’s tasty to them and they are real excited when it’s training time or snack time!

Charlie Bears are great. They are especially great for smaller dog breeds. They are delicate little crackers (much like oyster crackers you put in soup). These treats come in a variety of flavors. My dogs are picky and these are just about the only dog “bisquit” they’ll eat. You don’t even have to worry about your dog’s weight….these little treats are only 3 calories! Also great for training a puppy!

These are an excellent product. I first started buying them for my two large dogs, and both love their treats. Unfortunately, they are both slightly overweight. These are perfect, as they are low fat and made from natural ingredients. They must taste great, as my dogs always want them at treat time.
I highly recommend Blue Dog Bakery Premium Natual Low Fat Dog Treats to anyone who is looking for a healthy, low fat, appealing dog treat for their dogs.

The dogs love these, the only thing I would caution is that they are on the large size. So though they would be a great snack for large active dogs, they are a bit too much for a puppy and a slightly overweight scottie dog. Some of the shapes are so large they make a meal for a smaller dog. And they are not they easiest things to break apart. But as stated above the dogs love them, in fact they smell so good they could tempt a human.

My Yellow Lab prefers these cookies over several other well known brands. Yes, they are hard as several reviewers have noted – all the better for helping to reduce tarter thru chewing hard cookies or biscuits which in turn helps to promote healthier gums. I find the hardness of these cookies no different from say Milk Bone Dog Biscuits which my Lab also loves. I spoke to my Vet about these dry, hard cookies and, based upon the ingredients listed on the cookie box, he saw nothing wrong with giving them as a treat BUT as with any other treat, only in moderation. He also surmised that the hardness of the cookies could help in reducing tarter buildup. I give my Lab either one of the larger sized or two of the smaller sized cookies per day. They make a nice treat after his evening walk. (He gets a Milk Bone after his morning stroll). I’ve purchased both the peanut butter & molasses as well as these assorted flavors cookies and my Lab loves them all. He gives these Blue Dog Bakery cookies a “Four Paws” rating.
